&lt;p>At the meeting of the Executive Committee of the World Academy of Ceramics held alongside the congress, Academician Fu Zhengyi was elected Chair of the Steering Committee of the World Academy of Ceramics (headquartered in Italy). Earlier, in early June this year, he had been elected President of the International Ceramic Federation (headquartered in the United States).&lt;/p>

&lt;p>In the plenary lecture session, Academician Fu Zhengyi spoke on the topic of &amp;ldquo;Extreme Condition Sintering for Ceramics.&amp;rdquo; Addressing challenges such as improving the performance of ceramic materials and reducing the energy consumption of their preparation, the lecture proposed a new strategy of extreme-condition sintering and presented the team&amp;rsquo;s latest research progress, offering new ideas for the global innovation of advanced ceramic processing technologies.&lt;/p>
