Taolei Sun

Prof. Taolei Sun is a Chief Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Technology for Materials Synthesis and Processing, Wuhan University of Technology, and currently serves as Dean of the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Life Sciences. He received his bachelor’s degree from Wuhan University (1996) and his PhD from the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2002). He previously worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Chemistry, CAS (with Prof. Lei Jiang), as associate professor at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, and as Alexander von Humboldt Fellow and assistant professor at the University of Münster, Germany. His research focuses on nano-biointerface materials, chiral biointerface materials, smart biointerface materials, the chemical biology of Alzheimer’s disease and drug development, and post-translational modification proteomics. He has received the Sofja Kovalevskaja Award of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.
