Prof. Jilin Wang is a professor at the College of Materials Science and Engineering, Guilin University of Technology. He received his PhD in Materials Processing Engineering from Wuhan University of Technology in 2014 and joined Guilin University of Technology in March 2015. From September 2023 to June 2024 he was a senior visiting scholar at Peking University. His team focuses on the efficient utilization and industrialization of Guangxi featured critical metal resources (indium, tin, gallium, aluminum, calcium, nickel), with thin-film solar cells and their encapsulation thermal management as the main research direction, establishing an industry-university-research platform covering material synthesis, target sintering, functional film preparation, device assembly, performance evaluation, and industrial application. He has led over 12 projects including 3 NSFC projects and published 60+ SCI papers as first/corresponding author in journals such as Adv. Funct. Mater., ACS Nano, and Compos. Part B, with 31 granted invention patents.
