Prof. Huai-Ling Gao is an adjunct professor and doctoral supervisor at the Department of Modern Mechanics, School of Engineering Science, University of Science and Technology of China (jointly appointed by the Hefei National Research Center for Physical Sciences at the Microscale). He received his BSc in Biotechnology from Anhui Medical University in 2010 and his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from USTC in 2016 (advisor: Prof. Shu-Hong Yu), and subsequently worked as postdoctoral researcher, adjunct associate researcher, and associate researcher at USTC. His research addresses the critical demand for high-strength, high-toughness, long-service-life structural materials for biomedical implant devices and key mechanical components of high-end equipment, with core research on structural ceramic materials.
